In the high-octane world of virtual motorsports, LunatiK Racing takes center stage in the Championship Motorsports’ iRacing Team Endurance Series (iRTES). This multi-driver, team-based endurance series, hosted by the dynamic racing community at Champion Motorsports (CMS), promises thrills, camaraderie, and intense competition across iconic virtual tracks.

The community’s commitment to providing an immersive racing experience is evident in their meticulously organized racing series, all conveniently scheduled by day of the week on their website. Prospective racers are invited to explore the website for comprehensive information on each discipline and are encouraged to join the vibrant CMS community on their Discord server. With a warm welcome, CMS eagerly anticipates seeing new faces on the track, fostering a sense of belonging among virtual racing enthusiasts.

At the heart of CMS’s racing calendar is the iRacing Team Endurance Series (iRTES), a multi-driver, team-based endurance competition designed to accommodate racers from the Americas to Europe. This series, set against the backdrop of CMS’s global community, bringing together GTD Prototype and GT3 Class race cars, promising riveting battles and strategic racing.

The iRTES format, inspired by the World Endurance Championship (WEC) structure, adds an extra layer of authenticity to the virtual racing experience. As 2-3 driver teams gear up for the challenges, LunatiK Racing stands ready to prove their mettle on the virtual tracks.

The iRTES season unfolds across six gripping rounds, each posing unique challenges for the participating teams:

  • Round 1: Daytona (December 10th, 2023) – 4 hours
  • Round 2: Jerez (January 7th, 2024) – 3 hours
  • Round 3: Spa (February 4th, 2024) – 4 hours
  • Round 4: Hockenheim (March 3rd, 2024) – 3 hours
  • Round 5: Le Mans (April 7th, 2024) – 6 hours
  • Round 6: Silverstone (April 28th, 2024) – 3 hours

These tracks are the proving grounds where LunatiK Racing aims to showcase their skill and determination.

Behind the wheel of the new-to-iRacing Audi R8 LMS EVO II GT3, LunatiK Racing brings together a formidable trio of drivers: Rob Campbell, Nick McLaughlin, and Collin McKenzie. This cutting-edge GT3 model promises speed, precision, and a thrilling driving experience, making it a formidable choice for the challenges that lie ahead.

While the journey through iRTES has been promising, Round 1 at Daytona brought unexpected challenges for LunatiK Racing. A technical issue sidelined the team as the race began, presenting an unforeseen obstacle. Despite the setback, the team remains resilient and looks forward to overcoming adversity in the upcoming rounds.

Undeterred by the challenges of Round 1, LunatiK Racing is geared up for Round 2 at Jerez, scheduled for January 7th, 2024 at 12PM EST. ApexRacingTV are kind enough to be broadcasting the event on their YouTube channel.  Drivers Nick McLaughlin and Collin McKenzie will be taking the helm in the 3-hour race, aiming for a triumphant performance and a significant leap forward in the overall standings.

As LunatiK Racing continues their journey in the CMS iRacing Team Endurance Series, the virtual racing community eagerly watches, anticipating moments of skill, strategy, and sheer determination. The trials and triumphs of LunatiK Racing serve as a testament to the spirit of competition and sportsmanship that defines the world of virtual motorsports within the CMS community.
